About Dancing with the Masters

The Indianapolis School of Ballet presents master classes featuring some of the most esteemed teachers in America today providing an exceptional opportunity for students, teachers, and dancers from the Indianapolis area and across the midwest to experience high quality instruction from legendary teachers.

The 2010 series is made possible by a grant from the Penrod Society.

Eligibility:

•dancers ages 13 and older;

•at least six years of formal ballet training;

•ladies at least two years on point

Participant fee - $25

Observer fee - $10

Scott Jovovich, Sunday, July 11 from 2-4 PM

In addition to The Joffrey Ballet, Scott Jovovich was a Principal dancer with The Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, The Northern Ballet Theatre (England), The Universal Ballet (Korea), Ballet Arizona and the Lar Lubovitch Dance Company.

His repertoire includes leading roles by some of the world’s foremost choreographers. Mr. Jovovich was also featured in the Broadway musicals, “Jerome Robbins Broadway” and “Fosse”, and has appeared in “Carousel” at Lincoln Center and “Once Upon A Mattress” with actress Sarah Jessica Parker. As a teacher, Mr. Jovovich has been on the faculty of The Joffrey Ballet School, The Shirley Rock School of The Pennsylvania Ballet, New York City Dance Alliance, and The University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
