Zipparo Karz

    Repetiteur, The George Balanchine Trust

    Former Dancer, New York City Ballet


Zippora Karz is a former soloist ballerina with the New York City Ballet where she performed for 16 years on stage and in televised performances. She was featured in a variety of roles choreographed by George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins (The Sugar Plum Fairy in the Nutcracker being one of her favorites) as well as works choreographed for her by such choreographers as Peter Martins and Lynne Taylor Corbett. Today Miss Karz stages Balanchine ballets all over the world coaching and teaching dance. Miss Karz was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes at the age of 21 and is passionate today about motivating others to take care of themselves and live their dreams. She is a passionate speaker and motivator, sharing her story as well as her love of movement to all ages from kids to adults. Scott Jovovich

In addition to The Joffrey Ballet, Scott Jovovich was a Principal dancer with The Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, The Northern Ballet Theatre (England), The Universal Ballet (Korea), Ballet Arizona and the Lar Lubovitch Dance Company. His repertoire includes leading roles by some of the world’s foremost choreographers. Mr. Jovovich was also featured in the Broadway musicals, “Jerome Robbins Broadway” and “Fosse”, and has appeared in “Carousel” at Lincoln Center and “Once Upon A Mattress” with actress Sarah Jessica Parker. As a teacher, Mr. Jovovich has been on the faculty of The Joffrey Ballet School, The Shirley Rock School of The Pennsylvania Ballet, New York City Dance Alliance, and The University of the Arts in Philadelphia.

Paul Vitali

Former Dancer, Pennsylvania Ballet

Feld Ballets/NY


Known to Indianapolis audiences as Herr Drosselmeyer in The Nutcracker and Dr. Coppelius in Coppélia, Paul Vitali began his dance career at Pennsylvania Ballet, where he rose to perform principal roles during his tenure with the prestigious Balanchine-based company.  He then moved to New York City where he was a principal dancer in Eliot Feld’s company, Feld Ballets/NY.  Throughout his career Paul garnered national and international attention in a variety of Balanchine, classical and avant-garde roles.  He credits much of his inspiration to great teachers, including Lupe Serrano, Benjamin Harkarvy, Royes Fernandez and Maggie Black.  Paul has taught ballet at the Feld company and its associated New Ballet School, the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Arts, Miami City Ballet School and, Florida International University.
