emily nord womersley

Emily Nord Womersley was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, where she began her dance training at the age of three. She studied ballet, tap, jazz and modern at Suzanne LaTour School of Dance and the Center of Contemporary Arts. At fourteen, Emily discovered her love for working with the younger students, and began teaching classical ballet and tap. Her enthusiasm, creativity and passion for dance make her young students feel right at home in the studio and excited to take class.

Emily moved to Indiana in 1997 to attend Butler University, where she continued to take ballet classes while studying biology and running varsity cross country and track. She also received ballet training from Jordan Academy of Dance. Emily graduated from Butler in 2001 with a B.S. in biology, and now lives in Indianapolis with her husband, Michael and daughter, Gibson Grace.
