heidi eads

Heidi Eads Jones is an Indianapolis native. She received her dance training from Butler and Indiana Universities and graduated from the Wuerttemberg State Theatre Ballet Academy, in Stuttgart, Germany. She also holds degrees in Art History from Indiana and Ohio State Universities. She performed as a soloist with a number of German State Theatres. These included the Stuttgart Ballet (then under direction of  John Cranko and Anne Woolliams), Hamburg Ballet (under direction of John Neumier); Frankfurt Ballet; and Nuernberg Ballet. Stateside, she performed with Michael Uthoff's Hartford Ballet and she was one of a nucleus of dancers under George Verdak, that went on to become Indianapolis’ first professional ballet company, "Indianapolis Ballet Theatre." During the course of her performing career she traveled widely in Europe and the United States and appeared in film.
