16 May Indianapolis School of Ballet to Present Summer Day Camps for 5-9 Year-Olds
INDIANAPOLIS, April 4, 2016. Indianapolis Ballet Inc., home of the Indianapolis School of Ballet (ISB) is offering two unique ballet summer camps offered this upcoming summer for ages 5-9.
The Fancy Ballet offered on June 6-10, is for ages 5-6. This camp runs from 9:30 AM to 12 PM and includes an hour-long dance class with ballet and tap instructions, storytelling, craft projects and a snack. This camp is centered around the Fancy Nancy book series about a young girl who loves all things fancy. There will be an informal mini-performance given at the end of the week that will be created by the students in attendance at the camp.
The Ballet and Art camp will be held June 13-17 for ages 7-9 and will run from 9:30 AM-4:30 PM. This camp offers campers to appreciate art and culture and how it relates to ballet. They will be given the opportunity to explore creativity in the classroom and learn the art of costume making. There will be fieldtrips throughout the week to various downtown cultural attractions. There will also be a studio performance at the end of the week featuring costumes made by the students.
The camps take place at the Indianapolis School of Ballet at 502 N. Capital Street in Indianapolis.
