Divisions & Curriculum

DIVISION I
Ages 11 and up with three years of formal ballet and ready for pointe*

Curriculum includes daily ballet technique class, pointe, choreography, repertoire, modern, body conditioning, stretching, other dance forms, and weekly seminars on topics such as nutrition and injury prevention.

DIVISION II
Ages 12-14 with four years of formal ballet,  two years on pointe*

Curriculum includes daily ballet technique class, pointe, variations, choreography, repertoire, modern, body conditioning, stretching, other dance forms, and weekly seminars on topics such as nutrition and injury prevention.

DIVISION III

Ages 15 and up with six years of formal ballet, three years on pointe*

Curriculum includes daily ballet technique class, pointe, variations, pas de deux, choreography, repertoire, modern, body conditioning, stretching, other dance forms, and weekly seminars on topics such as nutrition and injury prevention.

*Years of training are a guideline. Actual placement will be determined at audition.

Tuition

1 week      $350
2 weeks    $700
3 weeks    $1,000
4 weeks    $1,300
5 weeks    $1,600

Sibling discount: The student enrolled in the most weeks pays full tuition; each additional child receives a 10% discount.

Scholarships: A limited number of scholarships are available for the summer intensive and are awarded on a case by case basis. To be considered for a scholarship, please ask for application materials at the time of audition.

Admission & AUdition

Admission to the 2012 Indianapolis School of Ballet Summer intensive is by audition only. A $15 application fee will be due at the time of the audition.  Applicants will be notified of admission within three weeks of their audition date.

On-site auditions:

Sunday, February 19, 2012 and Sunday, March 25, 2012


  1. 2:00 p.m. Ages 11 - 13

  2. 3:00 p.m. Ages 14 and up (ladies on pointe)

  3. Registration starts one hour prior to audition

Please bring 2 photos:  Headshot (may be school photo) and full-length dance photo in first arabesque.  Current ISB students and graduates do not need photos.
