Sean Aaron Carmon, a celebrated choreographer, spent nearly a decade performing with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, performing major solo and leading roles in a diverse repertoire. On Broadway and North American tours, he performed in La Cage aux Folles, The Phantom of the Opera, The Lion King, Kinky Boots and Ragtime. He has received awards and recognition from prominent institutions including the Palm Desert Choreography Festival, YAGP, National Choreographer’s Initiative and Joffrey Ballet Chicago. Sean was honored to be a 2026 Princess Grace Choreography Fellowship nominee. Currently, he serves as Rehearsal Director and Choreographer-in-Residence for Dance Kaleidoscope and has choreographed for the Indianapolis Ballet and Summer Stock Stage Indy. Beyond choreography, Sean proudly educates the next generation globally, most notably in the Horton-based modern technique, among others.
