At Indianapolis School of Ballet, we believe summer should be filled with rest, family, and friends—but it’s also the perfect time to keep dance in the mix! Whether you're looking to stay active, build technique, or simply do something you love, dance is the perfect addition to your summer plans.

Summer Programs


Summer Intensive

Spend your summer reaching new heights with our Summer Intensive program in downtown Indianapolis. Designed for dedicated, career-focused dancers, this immersive experience offers weeks of all-day training that challenges you to grow technically, artistically, and personally. With a comprehensive curriculum that includes ballet technique, partnering, Pilates, nutrition, and professional development, you’ll be guided by expert faculty in a supportive, close-knit environment. Live just steps from world-class arts and cultural attractions on the IU Indianapolis campus, and build lasting friendships with passionate dancers from across the country. Whether you're aiming for a trainee program or simply ready to push your limits, this unforgettable summer will move you closer to your dreams.

Admission to the Summer Intensive is by audition only.
Students must be 10 years of age by June 1, 2025.

Summer Camps

This summer, imagination takes center stage at our Swan Lake–themed Ballet & Art Camp in downtown Indianapolis! Designed for children ages 7–10, this dynamic day camp blends ballet, tap, art, and music in a fun, supportive environment that encourages creativity and builds confidence. The week culminates in a magical studio performance where students showcase their new skills. It's the perfect summer experience for young dancers and artists alike!

Summer Classes

Dive into summer by building on the foundation set during the school year with Indianapolis School of Ballet's 6-Week Summer Class Program. Classes meet once or twice per week across six weeks in the summer.

Parents should select a class based upon the student’s age as of June 1, 2025.
