Since the inception of the Indianapolis School of Ballet in 2006, the vision for Indianapolis Ballet, Inc. has been to launch a professional ballet company on the solid foundation of a successful school.
With that foundation firmly in place after a decade of providing Indiana’s premier dance instruction, that vision became a reality with the announcement of Indianapolis Ballet in May 2017 and the company’s first year of extraordinary performances in 2018.
On the heels of Indianapolis Ballet’s Moving Forward Capital Campaign, which supported the launch phase across 2017-2018, the organization has introduced the Indianapolis Ballet General Fund with the aim of keeping the new company thriving in the crucial first years of artistic achievements. Your donation to the General Fund will help cover salaries for the thirty professional artists that train in our downtown studios 35+ hours each week, production costs that allow Indianapolis Ballet to stage world-class performances at venues such as the Tobias Theater at Newfields, Clowes Memorial Hall, The District Theatre, Taggert Memorial Amphitheater and more, along with general operating costs.
Making a contribution to sustain ballet exceptional ballet in the Circle City is easy. Click the donate icon to give online. For questions, please contact Don Steffy, Executive Director, at dsteffy@indyballet.org or by calling us at (317) 955-7525.

Education Fund
For the Indianapolis School of Ballet
Indianapolis School of Ballet provides exceptional training and performance opportunities in an inclusive environment. Because tuition covers only part of the cost, support from donors is essential. Gifts to the Education Fund expand access for students, support outreach, and sustain the resources needed to advance our mission.
-
Indianapolis School of Ballet advances professional ballet and dance education in our community through world-class training and dynamic performances provided in a culturally diverse environment designed for the continual physical, intellectual, emotional, and artistic growth of all dancers.
-
Tuition and fees account for nearly 50% of the total costs for ISB to provide outstanding training for our students, resources to host exceptional performances, and support for community outreach programs that aim to make a difference for youth in Indianapolis. We depend on the generous contributions of foundations, corporations, and individuals to bridge the gap.
-
Your gift to the Indianapolis School of Ballet Education Fund provides tuition assistance for current students and supports outreach programs, including lecture demonstrations with Indianapolis Public Schools. It also helps fund salaries that retain excellent faculty, ongoing capital improvements, and financial stability for today while securing the future of our mission.
-
Please consider a gift to the Education Fund to support the yearly fiscal needs of Indianapolis School of Ballet.
If you have any questions, please email Jeffrey Marks, Development Officer and Volunteer Manager, at jmarks@indyballet.org.
