Jane Gordon grew up in Portland, OR, where she began her ballet training at the School of Oregon Ballet Theatre at age eight. At seventeen, she joined Miami City Ballet’s Pre-Professional Division, where she trained for two years. During her time in Miami, she performed alongside the company in George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and danced featured roles in the school such as Russian Girl in Serenade and a soloist in Raymonda Variations. She has also attended summer intensives at San Francisco Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Suzanne Farrell Ballet, and School of American Ballet.

In 2019, she joined Alabama Ballet, dancing with the company for three seasons. There, she performed the role of Cupid in Don Quixote and appeared in Balanchine’s Serenade and Western Symphony.

In 2022, Jane joined Indianapolis Ballet as an apprentice and was promoted to a company member in 2024. Since joining the company, Jane's favorite ballets have included Balanchine's Square Dance, Septime Webre's Romeo and Juliet, and Victoria Lyras' Swan Lake.

Jane is excited to begin her fourth season with the company!
