Indianapolis Ballet and Indy Parks are joining forces to kick off summer with a FREE performance, Saturday, May 31st. Join us at the Taggart Memorial Amphitheater at Riverside Regional Park for Ballet in the Park, a free night of dance! This mixed-repertoire production is the perfect way to kick off your summer and experience ballet in an outdoor setting.

Cancelation Prior to Event:
Due to the detail regarding forecasts, wind speeds, precipitation chances, volumes of rain, forecasts will be monitored using the zip code of the venue (46204) from NOAA 24 hours prior to an event.
Should any of the following triggers occur or become forecasted for the hours of operation, the event will be canceled and all patrons will be notified via email.
Cancelation Policy During the Event:
In the event there is dangerous weather in the area, Indianapolis Ballet staff will notify attendees of the potential danger associated with the incoming weather and make recommendations regarding suspension of event activities.
We may utilize local television radar reports (Channel 13), internet radar reports (NOAA), weather radio, and/or telephone communications with IMPD. Monitoring is to be done before, during, and after suspension of any outdoor event. We will also watch the skies for flashes of lightning and listen for their accompanying thunderclap.
Outdoor events will be postponed, and individuals will be instructed to seek shelter if a lightning strike is detected 7-12 miles from the event. Outdoor events will be canceled, and individuals will be instructed to seek shelter if a lightning strike is detected six miles or less from the event. Outdoor events will also be canceled if a tornado watch, or warning is issued or if sustained winds are estimated at 28 miles per hour or more.
Examples of safe shelter:
Safe Building—One that is fully enclosed with a roof, walls, and floor, and has plumbing or wiring. Examples of safe buildings include a theatre, restaurant, or store.
Safe Vehicle—Any fully enclosed, metal-topped vehicle such as a hard- topped car, minivan, bus, truck, etc. Do NOT leave the vehicle during a thunderstorm.
Unsafe Building– Any open-air structure, shed, tent, or storage container
