Young Children’s Summer Classes

Classes for students ages 4-7 | Enrollment is now open | Students are placed by age as of June 1, 2026


Creative Movement

Ages 4-5

Creative Movement classes nurture each child’s imagination while developing their physical skills through joyful exploration of movement, rhythm, and music. Designed to build strength, coordination, and flexibility, these classes encourage self-expression and creativity in a supportive environment. Students are introduced to the fundamentals of ballet and tap, laying the foundation for future dance training while having fun.

Registration is required.

Pre-Ballet

Ages 6-7

Pre-Ballet classes are designed to introduce young dancers to the fundamentals of classical ballet in a fun, structured environment. Children will learn the basic structure and etiquette of a ballet class while developing essential skills such as posture, footwork, port de bras (arm movements), and simple step combinations. Students are also introduced to ballet terminology and musicality, laying a strong foundation for future training. Each class includes both ballet and tap instruction to enhance coordination and rhythm.

Pre-Professional Summer Classes

Classes for students ages 8-18 | Enrollment is now open | Students are placed by age as of June 1, 2025


Beginner Ballet

Ages 8-11

Beginning Ballet classes for ages 8–11 provide a structured and supportive introduction to classical ballet. Designed for new students and those transitioning from early childhood dance programs, the class focuses on developing strong technique, coordination, and musicality in a creative and disciplined environment.

Registration is required.

Intermediate Ballet

Ages 10-14

Intermediate Ballet class for ages 10–14 is designed to strengthen technique, build physical stamina, and expand students’ ballet vocabulary as they progress toward more advanced training. With an emphasis on proper alignment, coordination, and artistic expression, this level introduces foundational skills that support the eventual transition to pointe work and greater versatility through exposure to additional dance styles. The program nurtures both technical development and artistic growth in a focused and supportive environment.

Advanced Ballet

Ages 13 & up

Advanced Ballet class for ages 13 & up is designed for experienced dancers seeking to refine their technique and deepen their artistic expression. Emphasis is placed on developing personal artistry, stylistic nuance, and versatility across a range of dance disciplines. This advanced level supports dancers preparing for collegiate study or a future in professional training, offering a focused environment that fosters both technical excellence and individual growth.

Online enrollment is not required - walk ins welcome!

Open Classes

For Teens & Adults, Ages 13 & up

Get fit this summer! The Open Dance Program, for ages thirteen to adult, offers classes to students who love to dance but wish to undertake a less intensive schedule. Technical work is presented in a sequential, graded format to meet the needs of students who seek quality training, enrichment and physical fitness. In the Open Program, the number of classes may be less, but the quality of training is not diminished.
